A Rhode Island man is dead and two others were injured when the car they were traveling in crashed early this morning.
According to Ledyard Police, 24-year-old Ryan Partridge of West Greenwich, RI, was found deceased in the front passenger seat after officers responded to the crash at 2:24 Saturday morning.
Officers also located two men in the roadway, in need of medical attention. They were identified as 28-year-old Michael Paolantonio and 25-year-old David Governor, both of Coventry, RI.
An initial investigation by police has determined that the vehicle was traveling south on Lantern Hill Road when it left the travel portion of the roadway to the west. The car then raveled down a steep embankment and overturned before coming to rest.
The accident remains under investigation by the Ledyard Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team and the Connecticut State Police.
