A wake for Amy Lord, the Wilbraham woman who was kidnapped and murdered in Boston last week, has been scheduled for Monday.
The viewing service will be held at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home on 21 Tinkham Road in Springfield. The hours will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Funeral Service for Lord is scheduled for Tuesday at Cecila's Church in Wilbraham at 10 a.m. According to our media partner, Masslive.com, a private burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Indian Orchard.
Masslive.com also says the family has asked for anyone who wishes to send anything to make it out to the Christopher James Burnham Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 13, Wilbraham, MA 01095-0013; or to The Friends of Mike Farrell, P.O. Box 963, Wilbraham, MA 01095.
Last week, police identified 28-year-old Edward Alemany as the only "person of interest" in Lord's murder.
Though Boston Police are not classifying Alemany as a suspect yet because they are waiting for DNA evidence, Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis said things are progressing.
"We are confident and comfortable that we're on the right track in this case," said Commissioner Davis.
Davis also said the Boston Police are moving full force at bringing Lord's killer to justice.
Alemany is undergoing a court-ordered 20-day psychiatric evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital in Bridgewater, MA.
