It seems like new apartments are popping up left and right in Nashville, but you might be surprised to know that supply isn't lowering the price of rent.
In fact, the price of apartments across the city is going up.
According to the Nashville Business Journal, the average rental rate in Nashville has increased about 2 percent just in the last three months.
That increase comes as 766 new units were added in the city during the same time period.
Right now, average rent is about $879 a month while areas closer to the downtown core range closer to $1,300 per month.
