Long-time Cavs player Daniel Gibson is in trouble with the law.

Gibson turned himself in at a New Orleans police station at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

He was accompanied by his attorney.

The NBA free agent is accused of punching a man at about 5:15 a.m. on July 8th at a club in New Orleans.

As a result, the victim suffered a fractured lower jaw bone and received medical treatment.

A verbal exchange apparently prompted the incident.

Gibson was booked with second degree battery and later bonded out.
