WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

A Waterbury man was sentenced to 30 months in prison after authorities said he traded child pornography on the internet.

Hartford detectives found 50 pictures and 10 videos of child pornography on a "publicly-available internet file sharing program" maintained by 49-year-old Paul D'Ambrosio.

Authorities searched the home of D'Ambrosio and they seized his computer. On the computer, authorities found hundreds of images and videos of child pornography including some involving children younger than 12 "in sexually explicit conduct."

D'Ambrosio was arrested on Aug. 30, 2012. He pleaded guilty to one count of receipt and distribution of child pornography on March 11.
