A 19-year-old man remains in intensive care after being involved in a serious crash in Bloomfield Sunday afternoon.
A crash involving two Honda Accords was reported in the area of 1266 Blue Hills Ave. just before 4 p.m.
Upon arrival, Jamar Johnson, of Bloomfield, was found lying on his chest, bleeding from his head and unresponsive. He was taken to Hartford Hospital where he was diagnosed with a "broken neck, broken right leg, and brain damage," police said.
A woman, who was identified as Edith Mackenzie, of Bloomfield, was found standing against a 2000 Honda Accord. She was taken to an area hospital and released after she suffered a broken left arm.
Another man, who was identified 19-year-old Chazz Gaither-Lewis, of Hartford, was located in the nearby woods. He was taken to Hartford Hospital with face, chest and arm injuries.
The crash left both Accords sustaining heavy damage. The west shoulder curb of Blue Hills Avenue was also damaged.
Both vehicles have been impounded as part of the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation by North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad, however, police said they believe one of the Honda Accords was speeding.
