Video shows fight, shooting on Kansas City bus

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A camera on board a Kansas City Area Transportation Authority bus captured the fight and shooting that injured three last week.

"I got shot," one person cries.

The passengers on board are clearly upset, with one woman repeatedly yelling, "Oh my God, oh my God."

Warning: Some may find the video disturbing.

A fist fight pitted a group of guys in white shirts against a 20-year-old man, who is wearing a striped shirt.

After the group leaves the bus, the taunting and conflict continues. Windows were banged from outside and verbal exchanges occurred.

Inside on the bus, the young man opens the window and appears to either stick out his tongue or spit. Seconds later, a shot is fired into the bus.

The bullet hit the young man in his hand. Glass then hit two passengers.

Those outside took off running while the bus driver called her dispatcher for help. Kansas City police quickly responded.

A 16-year-old boy was charged in connection with the shooting in juvenile court and could face charges in adult court. Two men and a second boy were also taken into custody.
