State officials are welcoming the second U.S. cabinet member visiting Connecticut in a week.
Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker is scheduled to tour a Wallingford company on Tuesday to highlight advanced products and job creation in the state.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will join Pritzker at APS Technology Inc., which manufactures equipment for the oil and gas drilling industries.
The state Bond Commission approved a $5 million loan in January to help APS Technology accelerate the development and distribution of its next-generation products and create more jobs.
Malloy says the company will increase its workforce to at least 278 by 2015, from 155 last year.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx visited New Haven last week.
