GLASTONBURY, CT (WFSB) -

A man accused of following a black man home and attacking him in an extreme road rage incident is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Patrick Loughlin, 32, was arrested in April.

According to police documents, Loughlin told authorities he was cut off on Route 3 in January.

That's when police said Loughlin followed the victim and attacked him.

The 20-year-old victim was so badly beaten he needed to get his head stapled closed.

Loughlin faces a slew of charges, including third degree assault and harassment.
