Clowney returns to practice after knee tweak

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

South Carolina junior defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was back at practice Monday night after he sat out much of Sunday practice with a knee tweak.

Defensive line coach Deke Adams said Clowney "got banged up a little bit." Despite that, Adams said Clowney "had a great day."

Linebacker Cedrick Cooper came to practice in a sling, but it's nothing to worry about too much, according to linebackers coach Kirk Botkin.

"They're saying it's not that bad," said Botkin. "We'll check and know more tomorrow."

Cooper is expected to be back at practice within a week.

The next practice will ramp up the pace for the Gamecocks as it will mark the team's first practice in full pads.
