SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Sheriff Rick Walter confirms there are suspects in the process of being interviewed in connection to a Scott County homicide investigation.

No arrests have been made.

The SEMO Major Case Squad continues the homicide investigation.

It all started when a farmer called 911 Wednesday night reporting a car fire in his cornfield.

When investigators arrived on the scene, they found a woman's body in the burned out car.

An autopsy was performed. There is no word yet on the woman's identity or how she died.

Walter says he expects DNA test results of body to be in later this week.
