Glastonbury police arrested a 17-year-old female Friday in connection to the deadly one-car crash last month that killed 17-year-old Jane Modlesky.
According to police, they arrested the girl, whose name has not been released, for underage drinking violations.
Modlesky died after crashing a 2008 Honda Pilot into oak trees on Woodhaven Road. Sources told Eyewitness News that the SUV belonged to a friend's parents.
Police said their investigation and witness statements revealed that the unnamed girl hosted two parties prior to the accident, where minors had been drinking.
The girl was issued a juvenile summons and faces two counts of permitting minors to possess alcohol. Her parents were not home for either party, police said.
Police said the accident is still ongoing and they are waiting for toxicology reports.
The girl is scheduled to appear in juvenile court Aug. 20.
