COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -
University ofSouth Carolina star Defensive End Jadaveon Clowney is back at 100 percent, according to head coach Steve Spurrier.
"Clowney's back at full go, looks good." said Spurrier after Wednesday morning practice.
Nursing a sore shoulder, Clowney did not play in the team scrimmage Saturday or practice Monday.
"He's going to play now against North Carolina," he said. "Get the word out. Tell those national media boys."
Clowney was also among several key players whom Spurrier suggested may not play in the Gamecocks opener against North Carolina, but the Head Ball Coach said Wednesday morning he's ready to play.
"Clowney's back in good shape," said Spurrier. "He's back in the fold."
"All communication problems have been solved," said Coach Spurrier. "He's back on the team in good standing. Bruce [Ellington] is still hurt," noted the Head Ball Coach. "Bruce has a lingering hamstring that prevents him (from practicing). He hasn't done anything for a good week now."
The Gamecocks host North Carolina Aug. 29 at Williams-Brice Stadium.
