FLORENCE, AZ (CBS5) -
An uncle and his nephew were getting a little family time together in the Pinal County jail after their arrest Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of burglary.
Pinal County sheriff's deputies said Coreno Griffin, 20, and Brandon Murphy, 31, both of Arizona City, were arrested after foot chases as they tried to flee while allegedly burglarizing a home in Arizona City.
Deputies said Griffin tried to run through an alley as soon as deputies arrived at the home near Cleator Road and Troy Drive, but was chased down and captured.
A sergeant saw another person in the residence, and the suspect jumped out a back window after refusing to surrender. He was caught a short distance away, deputies said.
Griffin and Murphy live in the same neighborhood as the home, and the garage door to the suspects' home was open and detectives found items believed taken during the burglary, deputies said.
Griffin told detectives his uncle asked him to help break into the house, deputies said.
Murphy and Griffin were booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center for burglary, possession of burglary tools, theft and criminal damage.
