Students at Morehouse College reflect on the impact of students on the historic March on Washington.
They held a commemoration event Tuesday night at the Martin Luther King Junior International Chapel on the Morehouse campus.
A panel of speakers addressed the crowd and spoke about the difficulty of the civil rights movement 50 years ago and how the Atlanta student movement helped make a difference.
Students who attended say their generation needs to do more.
"We need to step it up get out there and march, stand up for what we believe in. It's one thing to talk about it, but we need to be about it. Because [our predecessors] were all for the action. They were out there marching. They were sitting at those dine-ins. We just need to do more of that," said Clark Atlanta student, Kayla Everette.
Louisiana Congressman and Morehouse Graduate, Cedric Richmond, delivered the keynote address.
