West Hartford resident walks in on would-be robber

WEST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

The West Hartford Police Department is alerting residents of a break-in reported in town on Tuesday night.

Police were sent to a home on Glen Hollow Road after the homeowner reported that someone had broken in.

The unidentified homeowner said they heard a loud noise in the kitchen and went to investigate. That's when the suspect was located in the kitchen.

The homeowner tried to restrain the suspect, but he was able to run out of a rear, kitchen door.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man around 5'8" tall and was wearing a gray hoodie with SOA or SQA on it.

The suspect may have also had some sort of facial hair.

Nothing was reported missing from the home.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
