Glastonbury couple arrested during drug bust

GLASTONBURY, CT (WFSB) -

A Glastonbury couple, one who works as a school psychologist, was arrested on various drug charges after police raided their home Wednesday.

Officers with the East Central Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 86 Stancliff Rd. after investigators "developed information that narcotic activity was taking place" there.

The task force seized the following items from the residence:

  • More than 1 pound of marijuana
  • Scale
  • Packaging material
  • $2,415
  • Drug paraphernalia

Eric and Jessica Buggelin were arrested and both were charged with possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, operating a drug factory and possession of drugs paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a school. 

Jessica Buggelin works as a school psychologist, Eyewitness News has learned. Neither Eric and Jessica Buggelin had a comment for Eyewitness News Thursday.

Eric and Jessica Buggelin, who are both 35 and live at the home on Stancliff Road, are being held on $10,000 bonds.

The East Central Narcotics Task Force is made of officers from Manchester, South Windsor, Vernon, and Glastonbury. Anyone who sees "any illicit drug activity" is asked to call the task force at 860-645-5548.
