Interstate 91 in Windsor reopened Friday evening after a multi-car crash shut down the southbound side and one lane on the northbound side.
The crash closed all southbound lanes between exits 40 and 38A and the left lane on I-91 north between exits 39 and 40 around 12:30 p.m.
Hours later, the left two lanes on I-91 south were reopened, but the three right lanes remained closed.
Just before 6 p.m., the whole highway reopened, according to police.
It is unclear if anyone was seriously injured in the crash. However, a Life Star medical helicopter is landing to take a patient to an area hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by state police.
