Man accused of stealing Oxycodone from pharmacy

NEWINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

Police are searching for the man accused of stealing Oxycodone medication at gunpoint from a pharmacy in Newington on Tuesday night.

A man, who is being described as 6' with a "medium built," entered the Walgreens located at 2920 Berlin Turnpike around 8:30 p.m.

The unidentified man "displayed a black handgun and stole various doses of Oxycodone medication," police said.

None of the employees or customers were injured, police said.

Officers with a K9 searched the surrounding area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Investigators released a surveillance photo of the possible suspect on Wednesday. In the photo, the suspect can be seen wearing a red sweatshirt with a white shirt underneath, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a black Yankees baseball hat.
