BANTAM, CT (WFSB) -

Connecticut State Police said four people have been arrested in connection with a deadly home invasion in Sharon last summer.

Last August, state police said two men wearing hats, gloves and bandanas tied over their faces broke into Rita Vitalis' home on Cornwall Bridge Road.

Vitalis was tied up but uninjured, but the men went upstairs and shot her 23-year-old son multiple times.

Lucas Vitalis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Now four men are facing charges.

Niraj Patel, Hiral Patel and Michael Calabrese are charged with felony murder, home invasion, kidnapping and robbery.

Another suspect, Shyam Patel, is facing charges of hindering the prosecution and tampering with evidence.

All four suspects are in their 20's.

Police have not yet released information on how the suspects were connected to the victims, but at the time of the crime, they did say they didn't think the incident was random and that they were targeted.

All four suspects are expected to appear in court on Thursday.
