Saturday's Powerball jackpot has swelled to an impressive $317M.
Connecticut Lottery officials said that the jackpot is tempting, but you should know your limit when it comes to buying tickets for a shot at the prize.
"While lottery games are fun and entertaining, it is important that consumers use good judgement when playing games of chance," Anne M. Noble, president and CEO of CT Lottery, said in a statement. "The public must be conscious and aware of the risks of problem gambling, and at the Lottery we make it our priority to educate consumers about responsible play."
The overall odds of winning a Powerball prize are 1 in 31.8 based on the $2 play. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510.
