FARMINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

Farmington police have arrested a Bridgeport man for a theft that occurred Wednesday at a local business.

Police said 38-year-old Manuel Gomez broke into the McLellan Tree Service on Brickyard road.

Gomez stole numerous chainsaws, pole saws, blowers and other equipment, according to police.

Gomez also stole a company vehicle, which led police to him.

Officers were able to track the vehicle to an address in Bridgeport, where they also located all the stolen items inside the home.

Gomez was held on a $50,000 bond and arraigned in Hartford Superior Court on Thursday.

Police said additional arrests in the case are expected.
