While the clouds begin to move out of our area, cooler air flows in from the northwest, keeping humidity levels low as highs today reach into the middle 80s Upstate, with middle 70s in the mountains. High school sports shouldn't have any issues with wet weather tonight, as we will see skies continually clearing, and temperatures back down in the middle 70s by kickoff for football games. The only issue could be the breeziness, as winds will continue to flow from the northwest at 10-15mph overnight.
The first official day of Autumn is September 22, so that means this is the last full weekend of the Summer season. You might be fooled, though, walking outside Saturday and Sunday, as temperatures will be dropping into the 70s all around, with even cooler air in the 50s overnight. It's truly going to start feeling like Autumn over the next few days, as the low humidity will allow that crisp, fall-like air to stick around for the time being.
