Amtrak service suspended temporarily to clear trees from tracks

NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

Amtrak service was suspended temporarily while crews removed trees from the tracks, according to the rail's Twitter account.

Rail service from New Haven, CT to Providence, RI was suspended Friday morning while the debris was being cleared.

According to The Associated Press, passengers who have bought tickets but decide not to travel because of the service suspension were eligible for a refund.

No further information was available.
