The Williamson County school board is moving ahead with a plan to challenge the state in court over the standardized TCAP tests.
Board members voted unanimously Monday to allow Schools Director Mike Looney to pursue legal action against the state Department of Education.
At issue are coding errors on the TCAP tests that affected how demographics were reported and how the scores were interpreted.
Metro Nashville Public Schools was the only district allowed to appeal.
