MORRISTOWN, N.J., Sept. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Financial Executives International (FEI), the association of choice for CFOs and other senior-level finance executives, will host the 32nd annual Current Financial Reporting Issues (CFRI) Conference on November 18-19 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. This two-day event will draw together more than 700 senior finance professionals, thought leaders and regulators to share in both formal and informal discussions on the most topical issues facing financial executives today and provide insightful perspectives on future developments in the industry.

This year's conference will include timely updates from influential regulators. The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the International Accounting Standard Board (IASB) will lead a session addressing developments on FASB and IASB projects, including progress on U.S. GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) convergence issues. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will address current initiatives and their impact on companies, auditors and audit committees, as well as proposed new rules, issues arising in reviews of SEC registrant filings and top projects on accounting and disclosure. Attendees will also have an opportunity to informally address unanswered questions to the four groups during an interactive Q&A session.
The event will also feature keynote remarks from two distinguished professionals from the field of business and economic journalism: Rana Foroohar, Assistant Managing Editor at TIME magazine and Paul Albergo, Director of News Coverage at Bloomberg BNA.
