CANTON, CT (WFSB) -

A crash involving a school bus was reported in Canton on Friday morning.

Canton police said Route 44 was closed near the Shoppes at Farmington Valley after the crash was reported.

Officials with Canton Public Schools said students were on the bus at the time of the crash, and they were heading to Canton Intermediate School. Officials at the scene said the superintendent is with students at a nearby business.

The superintendent said there were 13 students on the bus, but they were all checked out by the school nurse and were not injured.

They went to school on another bus, officials said.

No other information was released.
