BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -
The Beaufort County Sheriff's
office is investigating a man's death.
Investigators say three
fishermen found his body Saturday night in the marsh of Jarvis Creek Land
Preserve, off of Spanish Wells Road. They're not saying that it's suspicious,
but they're classifying it as a death investigation, pending an autopsy from
the Medical Examiner's office in Charleston.
Investigators said that on Saturday
there are a lot of unanswered questions.
"We don't know how long it's been there. The
condition of the body was decomposed to the point where we weren't able to make
a whole lot of determination," said Sgt. Robin
McIntosh, spokeswoman for the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Anyone with information about the case is
asked to call the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office at 843.255.3423.
