Police investigate serious accident

PLAINFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Plainfield are investigating a crash which left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

According to police, 61-year-old Catherine Kerr was crossing the road near All Hollows Church when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by 69-year-old James Gudeahn of Moosup.

Police said Kerr was leaving church and was walking back to her car at the time of the accident.

As a result of the accident, police say Kerr was transported to Backus Hospital with serious injuries. She was then flown to Hartford Hospital
