A cousin of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez is headed to court.
Tanya Singleton is due in Fall River Superior Court on Monday for a status hearing on a contempt charge.
The 37-year-old Singleton was indicted on a criminal contempt charge after allegedly refusing to testify before the grand jury hearing evidence in Hernandez's case. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to killing Odin Lloyd.
On Friday, Singleton was indicted on a new charge of conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact. Prosecutors say that in the days after the June killing, she helped one of her cousin's associates also facing charges in the case, flee to Florida.
Prosecutors say it is also possible she could be arraigned on the new charge Monday.
