We have a warning after a government worker says she was threatened with a gun just steps away from her office near downtown.
It happened Tuesday morning. A woman pulled into a parking lot at E. 17 and Hamilton in Cleveland.
The woman saw the man duck down behind a car. Then he got up, pulled a gun, and aimed at her.
She said she floored it and sped off.
It all went down in a parking lot behind the Downtown Deli. Many people use that lot and walk to offices nearby.
The victim, a Cuyahoga County Public Works employee says she raced to her building a block away, 16 and Lakeside -- it's located across the street from the local FBI headquarters.
The woman's building also holds the headquarters for county security guards. She went to them and told them the gunman even ran after her as she sped off.
The owner of the store in front of that parking lot has cameras, but they don't record. They only show what's going on now.
The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
Privately, some county workers are angry their bosses didn't tell them about this. A spokesperson has pointed out this did not happen on county property.
