Deputies from the Stark County Sheriff's Office investigate home invasion
STARK COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -
Deputies from the Stark County Sheriff's Office were called early Wednesday morning to a residence in the 1400 block of 30th Street NE for a report of a possible home invasion.
Responding Deputies discovered that two or three unknown suspects entered a residence by force and pointed a firearm at the homeowner. The homeowner's dog then attacked the suspects causing them to flee from the residence. The suspects, while fleeing, shot at the dog and injured it.
No other injuries are known at this time. The dog was taken to a local animal hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
