Westfield State University President Evan Dobelle will face a no-confidence vote in a little over a week from faculty and librarians.
CBS 3 media partner Mass Live and The Republican reported the faculty and librarian union president is calling for the vote prior to a special meeting Oct. 16 of the university's board of trustees.
The union's initial vote was delayed while they waited for Dobelle to submit records of disputed expenses.
Dobelle missed the deadline and asked for an extension.
That led to the state's higher education commissioner freezing $197,000 in funds, and put another $2 million in jeopardy.
Dobelle's spokesman said the university president plans to turn over the documents on Monday, which was the date he asked for as an extension.
