A Bridgeport officer was arrested after an alleged domestic dispute involving an ex-girlfriend, police said.

Police arrested 43-year-old officer, Paul Cari, after a fight between him and his ex-girlfriend's "male companion."

Cari's unidentified ex-girlfriend told police that he entered the home on Sage Avenue on Tuesday night. After threats were made by Cari, a fight occurred.

Cari turned himself into police on Thursday. He was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and threatening.

After turning over his department-issued weapon and Taser, Cari was placed on administrative duty, pending the investigation.

Police said Sgt. Pasquale Feola was also placed on administrative leave, pending an internal investigation. No further information was released about Feola.
