GOODYEAR, AZ (CBS5) -

Goodyear police said they found 113 marijuana plants at a house that was part of a growing operation that used electricity stolen from another source.

Kenneth Ruppel, 55, was arrested at the home in the 17000 block of West Desert Bloom Street on Wednesday and booked into jail on five felony drug charges, said Lisa Kutis of the Goodyear Police Department.

A Goodyear patrol officer had taken a report at the residence the day before and reported a strong odor of marijuana, Kutis said.

Police later served a search warrant and found the plants, worth an estimated $52,000, and a quarter-pound of marijuana, a gram of methamphetamine and an undetermined amount of cash, Kutis said.

As police served the warrant, officers noticed there was no visible means of power at the residence.

Arizona Public Service later said someone had bypassed the meter at the residence and power was coming from an undetermined source, Kutis said.

Ruppel was held without bond, Kutis said.
