The Arizona Department of Weights and Measures confirmed a gas pump skimmer was found at a Scottsdale service station Monday.
A Weights and Measures report obtained by CBS 5 News on Thursday said a gas pump maintenance man discovered the skimmer inside a pump at Taylors Scottsdale, near the intersection of Granite Reef Road and McDonald Drive.
A department employee removed the skimmer and placed a video camera inside the pump. The pump was then put back into service.
An inspection of the video camera turned up no suspects, the department employee said.
Scottsdale police confirmed there were no known suspects and that the investigation was continuing in cooperation with the Department of Weights and Measures.
The skimmers can steal a customer's credit card information when it's swiped at the pump.
No other information was immediately available.
