People in Branford remain without running water after a 12-inch water main broke Friday morning.
Officials said the break was reported along Thimble Island Road and water still needs to be removed from the road before it can be dug up and repaired.
There is no information on what caused the break.
According to the Regional Water Authority, most people affected should still have water, but it may be discolored.
Homes were still without water as of 4 p.m., however a temporary supply of water was given to residents in the affected area, Regional Water Authority officials said.
Repairs are expected to be completed between 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday.
