An off-ramp on Interstate 84 in Waterbury will be closed Wednesday night, so Department of Transportation crews can make improvements to a bridge on Harper's Ferry Road.
Crews will replace bridge joints on the structure off the eastbound ramp for Exit 25, DOT officials said in a statement Wednesday.
The repairs will include the "removal of the existing bridge deck joints across the full width and replacement with new concrete and asphaltic plug joints," DOT officials said.
Crews will be working from 10 p.m. on Wednesday until 6 a.m. on Thursday.
The repairs on the bridge in Waterbury are part of a $2,283,130 project for maintenance on 13 bridges in Connecticut. The project started in July and is expected to be completed in November 2014.
