NEW MILFORD, CT (WFSB) -

New Milford police said a section of Route 7 may remain closed for most of Thursday morning because of an overnight crash.

Police said the crash, which occurred around 1:45 a.m. Thursday, damaged a utility pole and brought down wires across the roadway.

Route 7 was closed between Pickett District Road and Still River Road, but two of the lanes, one on each side, reopened just before 6:30 a.m.

It's unknown when the rest of the road will reopen to traffic.
