After the Red Sox won their third World Series championship in the last 10 years, fans knew what was a next: a duck boat victory parade.
Less than 24 hours after Boston clinched the championship, Mayor Tom Menino announced the parade plans.
Menino said the duck boats will leave Fenway Park beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. They will travel down Boylston Street before making a final splash into the Charles River.
Parade officials expect attendance to be in the millions.
The Red Sox said they chose to have the event on Saturday, so parents would be able to bring their children to the parade.
