DE SOTO, KS (KCTV) -

Deputies arrested a man in connection to the death of Jordan MacDonald, the second man found dead in De Soto.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested 31-year-old Dustin Maynard on Friday about 6 p.m. He was charged the following day with first-degree murder.

Friends and family said 21-year-old MacDonald worked as a cook at JT's Bar and Grill. He gave a customer a ride to a nearby apartment because it was raining Tuesday night.

The investigation began when deputies were called to 85th and Ottawa streets about 8 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a body.

Maynard's bond has been set at $1 million.
