PLAINFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Plainfield charged two people with home invasion after a early morning incident left a young child with injuries.

According to police, officers responded to the Wauregan section of town at 2:41 a.m. after receiving a noise complaint.

After resolving the complaint, officers were called back to 53 Chestnut St. for a report that the people from the apartment with loud noise had entered another apartment and engaged a physical altercation with the residents.

Police say during the altercation two women fell on a 5-year-old who was sleeping nearby.  Responding officers quickly located and arrested the two individuals responsible.

Kimberly Brown, 26, was charged with home invasion, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and risk of injury to a minor. Jonathan Daignault, 27, was charged with home invasion and disorderly conduct.

Both suspects were held on $20,000 bonds and are scheduled to appear at the Danielson Superior Court on Nov. 4.
