EAST HAVEN, CT (WFSB) -

The owner of a massage parlor in East Haven was arrested in connection with promoting prostitution at her establishment.

In Ok Smith, who owns the Tokyo Leisure Club on Main Street, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with third-degree promoting prostitution.

The Tokyo Leisure Club along with the Zodiac Health Studio were raided in May by police after complaints of prostitution at the locations. A taskforce was formed by police to investigate the complaints.

Smith was arrested on Oct. 21 for third-degree promoting prostitution in connection with that raid.

Police said following the initial raid, Tokyo Leisure Club reopened and was "again suspected to be engaged in prostitution activities."

Smith, who was released on a $5,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Nov. 13.
