A bond hearing will be held this week for Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel as he awaits a new trial in the 1975 slaying of Greenwich neighbor Martha Moxley.
Thursday's hearing at Stamford Superior Court is expected to focus on the conditions of Skakel's release from prison.
A judge ordered a new trial last month, ruling that Skakel's trial attorney failed to adequately represent him in 2002 when he was convicted of murdering Moxley. The judge says he doesn't believe Skakel should have to stay in prison while prosecutors appeal the decision granting him a new trial.
Skakel is the 53-year-old nephew of Robert F. Kennedy's widow, Ethel Kennedy. He was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for killing Moxley when they were both 15 years old.
