Motion hearing to be held for woman charged with killing Savannah teen

Posted: Updated:

The woman charged in the shooting and killing of 17-year-old Evan Colquitt is expected to be back in court Monday.

Andriene Jackson entered a not guilty plea last month for the murder of Colquitt, and on Monday, they will hold a motion hearing in the case.

Colquitt was shot several times outside of a house in Savannah's Windsor Forest neighborhood in January 2013. Police say they believe Adrienne Jackson was the only shooter; however, the investigation is ongoing.

Colquitt's murder was one of three shootings in a week that happened on Savannah south side. That same week, 21-year-old Rebecca Foley was shot and killed in her car in an apartment complex on White Bluff Road. That murder remains unsolved and area businessman O. C. Welch has offered rewards for information leading to arrests in each case.
