BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -

Two women were arrested Wednesday morning in connection with a Nov. 22 robbery that resulted in a fatal shooting.

The robbery was set up as a drug deal that ended in a fatal shooting. Beaufort police arrested Karl Lyttle, 21, on Tuesday. He's charged with sale and distribution of marijuana and sale and distribution of marijuana within the proximity of a school.

He's accused of agreeing to sell marijuana and later meeting the buyers on Nov. 22 at a home on Hookstra Drive.

Beaufort police said Lyttle met with Kelsey Dent and Jerritt Timberson at the home. During the drug transaction, Dent and Timberson pulled guns, which turned out to be fake, and tried to rob Lyttle. Lyttle was armed with a pistol and shot Timberson, according to police.

Timberson later died from his injuries. Lyttle is being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

On Friday, Sierra Danielle Powers, 18 and Brandi Toniqua Hardy, 20 were arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy for their part in the planning the robbery. They're being held in the Beaufort County Detention pending a bond hearing.

Timberson's wife Champagne is also charged with criminal conspiracy.
