Investigators are working to determine what caused a Thanksgiving Day fire at a New Haven condo building, displacing more than a dozen residents.
When firefighters arrived on the scene Thursday morning they saw flames coming from the third floor of the three-story building.
Officials say crews opened up the roof to try to contain the blaze to one unit. They say they're lucky the fire didn't spread to other units or the attic.
No injuries were reported.
Officials tell the New Haven Register (http://bit.ly/1gm75SF) that 12 adults and one child were given food, lodging and other assistance. They say other residents are staying with family members.
An electrician is expected to be on the scene Friday to restore power to the building.
Officials say four units remain uninhabitable.
