A blast of wintry weather moving across Connecticut has forced the Department of Motor Vehicles to cancel all weekend road tests.
The National Weather Service says steady light snow spread over northern Connecticut on Saturday morning and 3 to 7 inches of snow was forecast overnight. Temperatures are only in the teens, making roads slippery rather quickly.
The DMV says road conditions were too treacherous and canceled all road tests for the remainder of Saturday. Anyone scheduled for a road test there should choose a new date.
Earlier Saturday, the agency announced that road tests were only canceled in Danbury, Hamden, Waterbury and Bridgeport.
The National Weather Service says 6 to 12 inches of snow are expected from Saturday to Sunday in New England.
