Louisa mom's bond set at $50k in Benadryl baby death

LOUISA, VA (WWBT) -

A Louisa mother accused of giving her six-month-old son a deadly dose of Benadryl will remain behind bars on $50,000 bond.

Tristan Goodwin, 31, faced several charges, including involuntary manslaughter and child abuse. Goodwin originally told Louisa County officer that she did not know why her son stopped breathing, but an autopsy proved that he died from the overdose.

Goodwin has been in jail since her arrest. A judge also order her not be the sole supervisor of any child under 12 years of age. She will be back in court on January 27.

    Henrico police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing person who is considered endangered. Kevin William Cannelli, 46, was last seen on July 18. Officers said he was wearing a green shirt, gray shorts, and a baseball cap. Cannelli is a white man, 5-feet-6-inches tall, and is about 190 pounds.
