LOUISA, VA (WWBT) -

A Louisa mother accused of giving her six-month-old son a deadly dose of Benadryl will remain behind bars on $50,000 bond.

Tristan Goodwin, 31, faced several charges, including involuntary manslaughter and child abuse. Goodwin originally told Louisa County officer that she did not know why her son stopped breathing, but an autopsy proved that he died from the overdose.

Goodwin has been in jail since her arrest. A judge also order her not be the sole supervisor of any child under 12 years of age. She will be back in court on January 27.
