Somerton woman dies in Yuma house fire

YUMA, AZ (CBS5) -

A Somerton woman was killed when a double-wide manufactured home she was in caught fire in Yuma.

Witnesses told Yuma County sheriff's deputies they helped get a man to safety but heavy smoke and flames kept them from getting the woman to safety.

The body of Rosalinda Ramirez, 68, was found by firefighters inside the home. The man was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center for precautionary reasons.

A number of fire departments responded to the scene in the 3500 block of West Lorenza Street Monday morning. They included firefighters from Somerton/Cocopah, Rural Metro and Yuma.         

The fire remains under investigation.
